Ferry Travel
Because most of the Pacific is made up of lots of islands, ferry boats are an important way of getting around. Most of the island groups have ferry networks which may range from old cargo ships to modern catamarans, however air travel has replaced ferry travel on some routes, particularly in the Hawaiian islands.
Although ferries are a good way to get around most island nations, international ferry services are rare and you'll usually have to fly from one country to the next.
