Bus Travel

The bus is the major mode of transport throughout New Zealand and the Pacific.

Local bus services are as varied as the islands themselves ranging from the fairly ordinary buses in Hawaii and Rarotonga to Samoa's buses and Tahiti's Le Truck - both full of character and an experience in themselves. At the other end of the scale are the air-conditioned coaches which run throughout New Zealand which are supplemented by an surprisingly extensive network of bus services operated specifically for backpackers.
