Air Travel in Fiji

If you're in a hurry, flying is a good option to get around the islands.

There are several airlines operating frequent air services between the major islands. The two main airlines are Air Fiji and Sunflower Airlines whose route network is supplemented by Turtle Airways which operates a seaplane service to some of the smaller islands.

Air Fiji (website www.airfiji.net) is the longest established of the domestic airlines with scheduled services to 15 destinations plus an international service to Tuvalu. Air Fiji has a Air Pass which allows you to travel along one of three set routes stopping off at several islands in Fiji. Sunflower Airlines (website www.fiji.to) is a good alternative to Air Fiji with a similar comprehensive route network throughout Fiji. Both Air Fiji and Sunflower Airlines operate a fleet of small commuter planes.

Both Nadi and Suva serve as the major air hubs on Viti Levu with connecting flights to Vanua Levu, Kadavu and the outer islands.
