Air Travel in the Cook Islands
Although the Cook Islands are small islands, they are spread over a large distance making flying the only practical way to get around.
Air Rarotonga is the only domestic airline in the Cooks with two 18-passenger Embraer Bandeirante turbo-prop planes operating between the islands.
Services are fairly frequent in the southern group, especially between Rarotonga and Atiutaki which has three daily flights. Flights to the northern group, however are much less frequent.
There are no flights on Sundays.
