Working in New Caledonia

It is extremely difficult to find legal work in New Caledonia unless you're French. French citizens can find work here like elsewhere in France.

Despite the difficulty finding legal work, with a lot of perserverance you should be able to find work under the table in a bar, restaurant or hotel. Don't expect to earn a lot of money although you shouldn't have too much problem earning enough to cover your expenses whilst in New Caledonia.
