Coming & going

White Star Bus (tel (06) 759 0197) have services to New Plymouth, Palmerston North, Wanganui and Wellington. Buses depart from the i-SITE Visitor Centre (Prospero Place, Broadway, Stratford).

Sightseeing, museums & tourist attractions


Stratford’s Tudor-style clock tower is home to New Zealand’s only glockenspiel, which features six figures of Romeo and Juliet and performs for five minutes daily at 10am, 1pm and 3pm.

This open-air museum depicts life 100 years ago and features 40 historic buildings including Mangatoki Church, Okato Cottage, Pembroke School, Stratford Courthouse and Tariki Railway Station.
