Nelson-Tasman Region

The north western tip of New Zealand’s South Island includes the Abel Tasman, Kahurangi, and Nelson Lakes National Parks. These are well known for their kayaking and hiking opportunities, and walking the Abel Tasman and Heaphy Tracks are extremely popular. The main towns in the region are Motueka and Takaka, while the pleasant city of Nelson is the main hub for accommodation, dining and nightlife. This is a varied and rugged landscape offering scenic drives, outdoor activities and working holidays on farms and vineyards.
