Yasawa Island GroupThis group of 16 islands off the west coast of Viti Levu enjoy drier weather than other parts of the country and have beautiful scenery with white sandy beaches and lagoons. There is a poor infrastructure on the islands in the Yasawa group with no banks and very few telephones. However there are good budget accommodation options with some excellent backpackers resorts. Transport between the islands is limited although most of the backpackers resorts can arrange transport to pick you up. Most transport from Viti Levu departs from Lautoka.
